Job Description \n
Casual and Part-time positions are currently available.
\n
Our dedicated Youth Homelessness Team supports vulnerable young people (aged 15-19) to access crisis, transitional and long-term accommodation, reconnect with family and build independent living skills.
\n
Primarily based within our youth homelessness provision, our Youth Workers inspire and encourage our young people to transition through Accordwest’s programs. OurYouth Workers strive to provide a safe and nurturing homelike environment for young peopleby helping to build self-esteem and confidence,enhancing everyday life skills,and providing supportto achieve their goals and aspirations.

Our young people can often present with complexities such as mental health concerns, experiences of childhood trauma, substance use issues, learning and development disabilities, and disengagement from education and pro-social recreation activities. In light of this, ourYouth Workers must be creative, solutions focused, resilient, and have passion and commitment to our young people.
\n
The role requires day and overnight shifts which provides the opportunity to make a difference in a young person’s life and support them to transition to a brighter future.
