About the job

Are you passionate about creating memorable dining experiences and delivering high-quality food Novotel Surfers Paradise is looking for a talented and enthusiastic Part-Time Demi Chef to join our dynamic Kitchen brigade.

What Youll Be Doing..

As a Demi Chef you will play an important role in supporting our culinary operations by:

  • Assisting with the preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes.
  • Maintaining food quality consistency and presentation standards.
  • Supporting the Chef de Partie and broader kitchen team with daily operations.
  • Ensuring compliance with food safety hygiene and WHS standards.
  • Managing stock rotation and minimising food wastage.
  • Contributing ideas to enhance menu offerings and guest experiences.
  • Maintaining a clean organised and efficient work environment.


Qualifications :

What Were Looking For...

To be successful in this role you will possess:

  • Previous experience as a Demi Chef in a hotel restaurant or high-volume kitchen environment.
  • Relevant culinary qualifications.
  • Previous experience in conference events banquets and a high-volume buffet breakfast operation highly desired.
  • Sound knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work a rotating roster including weekends public holidays and evenings.
  • A passion for food creativity and delivering exceptional guest experiences.
