\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES\n
\n
\nOperations & Financial Control\n
\n· Manage venue operations including rostering, purchasing, and cost of goods, ensuring budget and sustainability targets are met.\n
\n· Flex labour hours dynamically in response to real-time business and weather conditions.\n
\n· Oversee stock control, invoice accuracy, and wastage reduction through proactive management.\n
\n· Conduct quality checks and resolve defects before product reaches customers.\n
\n· Identify operational improvements and collaborate with production and quality assurance teams.\n
\n
\nTeam Leadership & Development\n
\n· Lead, coach, and inspire a team of up to 20+, fostering warmth, accountability, and shared purpose.\n
\n· Manage the full performance cycle—onboarding, feedback, training, and career progression.\n
\n· Handle performance matters confidently and compassionately, in line with Fair Work standards.\n
\n· Participate in recruitment, ensuring new hires align with the brand’s values and service ethos.\n
\n· Champion change and ensure the team is equipped and motivated to adapt.\n
\n
\nCustomer Experience & Brand Leadership\n
\n· Embody genuine, unhurried hospitality; ensure every guest interaction reflects warmth and appreciation.\n
\n· Resolve customer complaints with discretion and follow-through.\n
\n· Brief the team daily on service standards, product knowledge, and experience expectations.\n
\n· Act as the ‘voice’ of the brand within the venue, ensuring consistency in tone, behaviour, and presentation.\n
\n
\nSafety, Hygiene & Food Quality\n
\n· Maintain a zero-harm environment by enforcing safe work practices and conducting hazard reviews.\n
\n· Ensure full compliance with HACCP, GMP, and personal hygiene standards across all food handling and dispatch.\n
\n· Conduct routine product protection checks and support the broader Quality Agenda.\n
\n
\nAdministration & Compliance\n
\n· Maintain accurate filing and communication systems for senior leadership, HR, and product teams.\n
\n· Track colleagues leave balances to ensure coverage without compromising service or budget.\n
\n· Follow up on non-compliance issues promptly and escalate where required.\n
\n
\nWHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR\n
\n· Proven min 1 year experience in retail, hospitality, or venue management.\n
\n· Strong financial acumen—rostering, COGS, and budget control.\n
\n· Demonstrated ability to lead and develop diverse teams in high-volume environments.\n
\n· Excellent communication skills; comfortable giving feedback, managing conflict, and facilitating change.\n
\n· Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and public holidays across multiple market locations.\n
\n· Physically capable standing for long periods, lifting up to 15kg, working in varying weather conditions.\n
