Senior Engagement Manager, AWS Professional Services

DESCRIPTION \n

AWS Professional Services is seeking an Engagement Manager to support delivery governance for cloud transformation engagements with enterprise customers across Australia. This role focused on managing project delivery, stakeholder coordination, and commercial oversight across one or more delivery streams — including application modernisation, cloud migration, and digital foundations — working alongside senior AWS leaders, partners, and customer teams. You will be accountable for project-level delivery, commercial management, and ensuring customer business outcomes are achieved. You will coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, manage risks and dependencies, and contribute to governance cadences. This is a role for someone who can operate independently, lead through collaboration, and deliver results with limited guidance across technical and business audiences.

• Leading and managing complex cloud migration and implementation projects

• Leveraging comprehensive knowledge of AWS services, architectures, and best practices to guide technical decisions and strategic planning

• Bridging business requirements with technical solutions, facilitating engineering discussions and ensuring alignment with customer business outcomes

• Distilling customer needs into clear technical requirements and map them to business outcomes
\n
• Decomposing complex technical problems into actionable, deliverable solutions

• Contributing to technical documentation and define documentation standards

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS \n

\n
• 2+ years of leading multiple Agile teams (like Scrum Masters, Product Owners) concurrently or at scale experience
\n
• 7+ years of leading and delivering enterprise-level IT engagements experience
\n
• Bachelor's degree in STEM field
\n
• Knowledge of the value proposition of the public cloud and cloud engagement delivery (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS)
\n
• Experience in leading and delivering enterprise-level IT engagements
\n

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS \n

\n
• 5+ years of delivering customer engagements in a professional services role experience
\n
• active project management certification (e.g., APM, CSM, PMI-ACP, PRINCE2)
\n
• AWS certification
\n
• Experience in delivering customer engagements in a professional services role
\n
• Experience with Agile and project management toolsets like Jira, Rally, VersionOne or Taiga
\n
• Experience working with and presenting to C-level executives, IT, and lines of businesses across organizations or equivalent
\n
