About the role

Cabrini Health is seeking several Administration Clerks to join our vibrant Patient Services team – primarily based at Malvern. You will provide vital administrative and customer service support across a variety of hospital departments, including Admissions, in a role that blends office‑based tasks with patient‑facing interactions.

Key responsibilities

• Processing patient registration information ensuring timely and accurate entry in WebPAS
• Organising patients’ financial files and other forms/labels with medical records in preparation for admission/surgery lists
• Conduct pre‑admission telephone calls to patients within 48 hours of hospital admission to clarify personal details and advise any out‑of‑pocket expenses
• Compile information packs for patients, including relevant health fund and other information specific to each patient
• Prepare information for patients upon discharge and collect any outstanding payments relating to their stay

Our department operates between the hours of 6:00AM - 8:00PM Monday - Sunday, so flexibility to cover a range of shifts is preferred. Positions are also available in our Emergency Department which requires late night finishes up to 11PM (occasional night shifts required).

What we’re looking for

• Previous experience working with medical records or familiarity with medical terminology is a bonus, but not essential
• A true team player – collaborative, dependable, and equally capable of working independently when required
• A passion for delivering exceptional customer service, with a friendly, patient‑focused approach
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a positive attitude that builds rapport across teams
• Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and adapt when needed
• A keen eye for detail and accuracy, ensuring every task is completed to a high standard
• Solid numeracy and literacy skills to support administrative efficiency
• Computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Suite
