Due to strong growth and an exciting pipeline of projects, Mott MacDonald's Building Services team has an exciting opening for a Senior Electrical Engineer in the Adelaide office. You will be joining a diverse and passionate team with a proven track record delivering major projects across Australia.

Based in Adelaide, enjoying the benefits of a capital city without long commute times, this role is open to interstate candidates who are ready for an exciting new chapter. Key Responsibilities

\n

Technical Excellence

\n

\n
• Lead Building Services digital delivery and BIM coordination on major projects across Buildings, Defence and Transport market sectors, with a focus on Electrical Services modelling.
\n
• Promote consistent application of BIM standards, templates, families and workflows.
\n
• Support the development and implementation of national BIM standards and procedures.
\n
• Drive technical excellence in digital design, model quality and information management.
\n
• Champion integrated engineering and engineer-led modelling workflows.
\n
• Contribute to the development of computational design and automation initiatives.
\n

Project Delivery

\n

\n
• Act as BIM Lead on complex multi-disciplinary Building Services projects including drawing planning and production.
\n
• Develop Digital Delivery Plans, BIM Execution Plans and model governance processes.
\n
• Coordinate federated models and manage multidisciplinary design interfaces.
\n
• Lead model reviews, clash detection workshops and model-based coordination activities.
\n
• Ensure project BIM deliverables meet client and project requirements.
\n
• Support project teams in achieving programme, quality and commercial objectives.
\n

Team Leadership

\n

\n
• Provide day-to-day leadership and mentoring to BIM Designers and developing BIM practitioners.
\n
• Assist with capability assessments, development plans and technical coaching.
\n
• Support recruitment and onboarding of BIM staff.
\n
• Foster collaboration across locations and disciplines.
\n

\n

National BIM Team Collaboration

\n

\n
• Participate in the national Buildings BIM network.
\n
• Promote resource sharing and collaboration between offices.
\n
• Support implementation of national BIM initiatives and improvement programs.
\n
• Contribute lessons learnt and innovation outcomes from project delivery.
\n

Global Delivery Service (GDS) Integration

\n

\n
• Coordinate BIM and digital delivery support from GDS resources.
\n
• Assist project teams in integrating Australian and GDS workflows.
\n
• Promote effective utilisation of GDS as a delivery and engineering support partner.
\n

\n

Innovation and Digital Development

\n

\n
• Promote the adoption of automation, computational design and emerging digital delivery technologies.
\n
• Support evaluation and implementation of new BIM tools and workflows.
\n
• Contribute to business improvement and productivity initiatives.
\n

Essential

\n

Attributes, Knowledge, Skills and Experience

\n

\n
• Significant experience in Building Services BIM and digital delivery including Revizto.
\n
• Experience in Defence projects preferred, with ability to hold an Australian Government Security Clearance essential.
\n
• Advanced Revit capability across Building Services disciplines.
\n
• Experience coordinating overseas project delivery teams.
\n
• Strong understanding of multidisciplinary BIM coordination.
\n
• Experience leading digital delivery on medium to large projects.
\n
• Knowledge of ISO 19650 information management principles.
\n
• Experience working within cloud-based Common Data Environments including Autodesk Construction Cloud / BIM 360.
\n
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
\n
• Demonstrated mentoring and leadership capability.
\n

Desirable

• Experience with Dynamo, scripting, automation or computational design.
\n
• Experience on major infrastructure, aviation, defence, health or complex buildings projects.

• Advanced Revit modelling and content management.

• Understanding of Electrical Services Design (Diploma level qualification preferred in electrotechnology related field).

• Understanding of model federation and clash detection processes.
\n
• Knowledge of model auditing, QA and governance.
\n
• Capability in BIM execution planning and digital delivery management.
\n
• Familiarity with interoperability workflows and common industry data standards.
\n
• Understanding of digital engineering, information management and computational design principles.
