What you'll do

In this role, you will contribute to the ongoing success of UniSQ’s nursing programs through high-quality teaching, research, supervision, and academic leadership. You will design and deliver engaging learning experiences, coordinate courses and programs, and support students to achieve outstanding educational outcomes. Using contemporary teaching approaches and digital technologies, you will help create learning environments that are inclusive, future-focused, and responsive to the evolving healthcare landscape.

Beyond the classroom, you will actively contribute to research initiatives that advance nursing knowledge and practice. You will lead and collaborate on research projects, supervise higher degree research students, develop research partnerships, and pursue opportunities for external funding. You will also provide leadership within the School, contribute to academic governance and service activities, and strengthen connections with industry, professional bodies, and the broader community.

What will help you succeed

To be successful in this position, you will hold a doctoral qualification (or equivalent accreditation and standing) in a relevant discipline and be a Registered Nurse with, or eligible for, AHPRA registration. You will bring a strong record of achievement in tertiary teaching, curriculum development, and academic leadership, together with demonstrated expertise in creating engaging, student-centred learning experiences that support excellent outcomes.

Clinical experience and research interests in areas such as rural and remote health, emergency or critical care, or aged care will be highly regarded. Strong communication and relationship-building skills, combined with a commitment to collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement, will position you to make a lasting contribution to the School, the profession, and the communities we serve.

Term: Full-time continuing appointment (37 hours/week)

Salary: Total remuneration range $168,032 to $193,129 pa (includes salary range of $141,710 to $162,875 pa, employer super contributions of 17% and annual leave loading)
