Join our Downer Professional Servicesteam and play a key role in delivering complex defence and national security projects that safeguard Australia ’ s future.

\n

Downer Professional Services is comprised of two business units, our Technical, Advisory, and Capability consulting practice and Team Downer, a major service partner to Defence. Together, we are a multi-disciplinary advisory and delivery partner of choice for our clients in Defence and National Security.

\n

We currently have an opportunity for a Radio Frequency (RF) Systems Engineer based in Canberra or Melbourne in support of a Land project with the Commonwealth.

What You’ll Do \n

\n
• Conduct requirements analysis and development;
\n
• Lead system design and implementation activities;
\n
• Execute verification, validation (V&V), and certification processes;
\n
• Plan and deliver engineering services, ensuring regulatory compliance, resource management, and achievement of project outcomes;
\n
• Review contract deliverables and provide technical assessments;
\n

What You’ll Bring \n

\n
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, recognised by the Washington Accord
\n
• Proven experience delivering Defence integration projects, or in complex Defence projects or environments
\n
• Strong background in Communication/Electrical systems.
\n
• Understanding of digital communication protocols and signal conversion techniques
\n
• Ability to lead technical aspects of integration engineering, working cross-functionally.
\n
• Familiarity with continuous improvement and process development methodologies.
\n

Due to the nature of the work, you are required to currently hold and maintain a minimum Negative Vetting 1 or higher Security clearance as required by the Commonwealth. In some instances, compliance withInternational Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)requirements may also be an inherent requirement.
