Job Statement
We are seeking to employ an Open Pit Mine Geologist, to join a high performing team in a growing company.
Reporting to the Senior Mine Geologist, you will;
· Produce geological sections, plans, and long sections with interpreted and factual mapping of deposits.
· Develop and maintain geology and mineralisation wireframes.
· Map and document each mining bench, capturing geology, structure, and mineralisation.
· Generate mineable shapes (blocks) with minimal dilution and communicate extraction plans effectively with engineers and contractors, accounting for blast movement.
· Supervise mark-outs, ore extraction, and ore movements (dozing, grading) to maximise recovery and minimise dilution.
· Ensure timely data entry, tracking, and reconciliation of ore movements for daily, weekly, and monthly reporting.
· Identify and classify inferred, indicated, and measured resources to meet mine requirements.
· Log all RC grade control holes to a high standard and within required timeframes.
· Design, set out, and implement RC drill programs to define lodes ready for mining.
· Mentor and support geology technicians, fostering professional development.
This role is offered on 8 days on, 6 days off Fly In Fly Out roster from Perth to Leonora. Town based established accommodation in Leonora with great camp facilities including, gym as well as town facilities.
