Your opportunity

\n

You will provide technical leadership across the design, development and operationalisation of enterprise-grade data and machine learning platforms. Working closely with Data Scientists, Solution Architects and business stakeholders, you'll help deliver cloud-native solutions that support Anglicare's data and AI strategy.

\n

With integrity and a technical leadership mindset, you will:

• Design, build and optimise enterprise data and analytics platforms on Microsoft Azure and Databricks.
\n
• Develop scalable batch and streaming data pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Databricks and Apache Spark.
\n
• Enable machine learning and AI initiatives through the delivery of robust cloud-based environments.
\n
• Implement DevSecOps, CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code practices across the data platform.
\n
• Design secure, scalable and cost-efficient architectures aligned to governance and security requirements.
\n
• Establish data quality, metadata management and governance standards.
\n
• Mentor engineering teams and promote best practices across cloud, data and AI technologies.
\n
• Partner with stakeholders to deliver enterprise-wide data, analytics and AI outcomes.

What you'll bring

\n

You're a highly capable Senior Data Engineer who combines strong cloud engineering expertise with a passion for solving complex technical challenges. You enjoy building scalable platforms, enabling innovation and mentoring others to achieve great outcomes.

\n

You will also need:

\n

\n
• Extensive experience designing and delivering cloud-based data platforms.
\n
• Strong expertise across Microsoft Azure, Databricks and Apache Spark.
\n
• Experience building and optimising enterprise-scale ETL/ELT pipelines.
\n
• Strong understanding of DevSecOps, CI/CD and infrastructure automation.
\n
• Experience with Terraform, Bicep and cloud infrastructure-as-code practices.
\n
• Strong knowledge of cloud security, governance and architecture best practices.
\n
• Experience supporting analytics, machine learning and AI workloads.
\n
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and technical leadership capabilities.
\n

Highly desirable

• Experience supporting enterprise AI and machine learning platforms.
\n
• Expertise in Data Vault and dimensional modelling methodologies.
\n
• Experience with Azure DevOps, observability frameworks and cloud cost optimisation.
\n
