We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Drafter with strong mechanical drafting capability and previous experience leading or managing people.

This role would suit a technically strong drafter who is confident taking ownership of their work, supporting others within the team and contributing to the smooth day-to-day operation of the drafting function.

About the Role

• Produce accurate mechanical drawings, layouts and detailed designs
• Work closely with engineering and project teams to deliver drafting requirements
• Review drawings and maintain a high standard of accuracy and quality
• Assist with coordinating drafting priorities and workloads
• Provide guidance and support to other team members
• Contribute to continuous improvement across drafting processes and systems

About You

• Strong experience in mechanical drafting/design
• Proficiency in relevant CAD software
• Demonstrated experience working within a senior drafting capacity
• Previous management, supervisory or team leadership experience
• Management experience does not need to be within the drafting or engineering industry
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Ability to manage competing priorities and support a team
• High attention to detail and a practical, solutions-focused approach
