Home Care Worker
Full-time | Monday to Friday | 9:00 am–5:00 pm

76 hours per fortnight | $39.30 per hour + super + kilometre reimbursement

The opportunity

We are recruiting experienced Home Care Workers to support older people returning home following a hospital stay. Across the North Shore and Northern Beaches areas.

Working within a short-term, rehabilitation-focused aged care program, you will help clients recover safely, rebuild their independence and achieve their individual goals while remaining in their own homes.

This is a permanent full-time position working Monday to Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, totalling 76 hours per fortnight.

Key responsibilities

• Provide respectful and person-centred personal care
• Support exercise programs as directed by allied health professionals
• Assist with compression stockings and higher-care needs
• Transport clients to appointments
• Provide social support and meaningful engagement
• Assist with meal preparation
• Complete domestic assistance and other practical home support
• Monitor client wellbeing and report any changes or concerns
• Maintain accurate service documentation

About you

You will be an experienced and dependable Home Care Worker who is comfortable supporting older people with rehabilitation and post-hospital care needs.

To be considered, you will require:

• Certificate III or higher in Individual Support, Aged Care or a related qualification
• At least six months’ experience in home care, aged care or a similar position
• Experience supporting clients with higher-care or post-hospital needs will be highly regarded
• Current Australian driver’s licence
• Reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Ability to meet all mandatory screening and vaccination requirements
