Summary: We're hiring our first Legal Architect for Enterprise in APAC, to help establish and scale our Enterprise offering across the region. This is a rare opportunity to step into a foundational role where you'll shape how leading APAC firms and in-house legal teams adopt AI in their most sophisticated legal work. This is a curated role for our most strategic customers, designed to help them extract maximum value from Clio's solutions with a particular focus on AI transformation in legal research and practice.

We put our customers first, and your mission will be to help top-tier firms and in-house teams practise law more efficiently and effectively, using advanced technology to elevate their legal work and outcomes. This is an ideal role for a former lawyer who thrives at the intersection of law, technology, and client engagement. You'll bring the authority and insight that come from your time in practice to guide how leading firms and legal departments adopt AI in their most complex work.

You'll apply your legal expertise, consultative mindset, and change management skills to secure the "practice win". To ensure customers not only understand what Clio can do, but experience meaningful, measurable improvements in how they research, draft, analyse, and deliver legal work.

\n

As our first Legal Architect in the region, you'll also help define how this function works in APAC, building the playbook rather than inheriting one.

\n

What you'll work on:

\n

Engage with legal professionals in your region's leading law firms and corporate legal departments to understand their processes, challenges, and opportunities for improvement, especially where AI can meaningfully transform their workflows

\n

Lead consultative discussions and tailored demonstrations of Clio's AI-driven solutions, showing how they improve specific legal workflows and deliver higher-quality legal outputs.

\n

Partner with our Account Executives to deeply understand client needs, influence buying decisions, and guide firms through their AI adoption journey

\n

Work with Clio customers and prospects to design high-impact pilots of new technologies, ensuring successful engagement, adoption, and measurable outcomes in targeted practice areas and on specific types of legal work

\n

Define what a great pilot looks like: the outcomes our customers want to achieve, the practice areas to focus on, and the legal work that will demonstrate real, scalable value.

\n

Act as a trusted adviser to partners, practice group leaders, and legal operations managers, building strong relationships and influencing adoption at every level

\n

Help customers navigate the cultural, behavioural, and process changes that successful AI transformation requires, from initial pilot through to full rollout

\n

Collaborate with our marketing team to create content and messaging that resonates with legal audiences and showcases real-world AI success stories

\n

Serve as the Voice of the Customer, sharing regional insight with our product and sales teams to continuously improve our AI solutions and go-to-market approach

\n

Represent Clio in the Australian and APAC legal innovation community and at conferences, industry events, and in professional networks

\n

Stay curious and informed about AI trends, legal technology, and emerging best practice, and share what you learn both internally and externally

\n

What you may bring:

\n

\n
• Admitted to practise in an Australian jurisdiction, with 3+ years post-admission experience (PQE) at a top-tier firm or in a strong in-house legal team
\n
• Proven ability to engage, influence, and build trust with senior legal stakeholders
\n
• Outstanding presentation and facilitation skills, with confidence in front of both legal and executive audiences
\n
• A strong understanding of legal workflows, processes, and the cultural dynamics that shape technology adoption, particularly in top-tier firms and large in-house teams
\n
• A consultative, solutions-focused mindset and genuine curiosity about how AI can transform legal research, drafting, and analysis
\n
• Experience in technology, consulting, sales, or another client-facing role is a strong plus
\n
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment where priorities shift and creativity is valued
\n

\n

Serious bonus points if you have:

\n

\n
• Experience in an AI or legal innovation initiative
\n
• Experience on secondment to a client, or in a business development or pitch-facing role
\n
• Spoken at conferences, presented CPD, or published on AI and technology in legal practice
\n
• Involvement in the Australian legal innovation community, such as ALTA, the Law Society of NSW FLIP stream, or the Centre for Legal Innovation

The base salary range for this role is $131,800 to $178,300 AUD. with on-target earnings (OTE) of $188,300 to $254,800 at 100% attainment. All commission eligible roles have a set base/variable pay mix depending on role, and are eligible for uncapped commissions. Variable compensation is not guaranteed and will depend on individual, team, or company performance. Initial placement within the range is informed by geographic region, experience, and skillset, with room to progress as impact and tenure grow. Final offer amounts will vary based on candidate profile.
