The Role:
\n
To provide hands-on operational, technical & training support across all facets of the customer production environment.
\n
Key Responsibilities:
\n
- \n
- Strict adherence to standardised repair process & enforce same with site staff \n
- Ability to quickly identify and remedy on-site production bottlenecks \n
- Hands on role – vehicle preparation, paint mixing, paint application in line with site requirements \n
- Ongoing equipment maintenance – spray equipment / UV & IR lamps / gun-wash machines / color tools etc. \n
- Ability to train, mentor and discipline customer paint & panel staff as required \n
- Staff training - On-site & PPG Training Centre, one on one training, staff assessments, and pre-employment assessments \n
- Monthly Site Audits to identify areas of concern in relation to EHS, process and operations \n

Requirements:
\n
- \n
- Ideally 5 years plus of hands-on experience within a high-volume vehicle repair environment \n
- Experience with process driven environments \n
- High level of interpersonal & communication skills at all levels of business \n
- Ability to enforce process is a non-negotiable requirement \n
- Understanding of labour productivity and the relationship to overall profitability. \n
- Sound planning, time management and organisational skills. \n
- Extensive knowledge of PPG products and application systems. \n
- Knowledge of LEAN principles \n
- Basic computer & literary competency in regard to email and other electronic communication \n
- Be self-motivated to achieve the required work tasks efficiently during the working day \n
- Hold and maintain a current / valid motor vehicle driver license \n
- Complete all mandatory company training both internal or external as required, whether in person or online \n
- Adherence to all EHS policies at both PPG and Customer sites \n
- Ensure compliance with PPG Ethics policy \n
- Comply with the Travel and Entertainment policy \n
- All PPG sites and vehicles are Smoke Free environments \n
- Comply with the PPG Company Vehicle Policy \n
