Chief Strategy and Impact Officer

The Role

The Chief Strategy and Impact Officer (CSIO) is a member of the Communicare Group Executive and is responsible for leading organisational strategy, growth, quality and impact across the enterprise.

The role is accountable for developing and delivering integrated strategy, business development, partnerships, quality, impact measurement, and marketing functions that position Communicare as a high-performing, evidence-led community services organisation.

The CSIO drives sustainable growth and continuous improvement, as well as providing executive leadership across White Ribbon Australia, ensuring alignment with organisational strategy and maximising national impact.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership to drive organisational growth, foster a high-performing culture, and lead enterprise-wide planning aligned with Communicare's vision and values.

• Drive business development and sustainability, identifying and securing new funding, partnership and growth opportunities to enhance organisational impact and revenue diversification.

• Build and strengthen strategic partnerships with government, community, corporate and funding stakeholders, representing Communicare and advancing sector influence and advocacy.

• Oversee enterprise services and national initiatives, including White Ribbon Australia, marketing and communications, project governance, and organisational performance reporting.

This is a15-month fixed term full-time role to 23 December 2027 and is located inCannington.

Due to the nature of the position attendance outside normal business hours will be required.Regular travel will be required.

About You

• Proven executive leadership experience in a complex organisation, ideally within the community services, not-for-profit, government or related sectors, with a strong track record of leading high-performing teams and organisational transformation.

• Demonstrated strategic and commercial acumen, including the development and execution of organisational strategy, business planning, growth initiatives, and sustainable revenue diversification through grants, tenders, partnerships and new business opportunities.

• Exceptional stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, with experience building strategic partnerships across government, community, corporate and funding sectors, and representing organisations at a senior level.

• Highly developed analytical and decision-making capability, with experience using data, evaluation and impact measurement to drive organisational performance, informed decision-making, and measurable community outcomes.

Essential Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Business, Commerce or a related discipline.

• Current unrestricted driver's licence.

• National Police Clearance, and

• Department of Justice screening (or willingness to obtain).

Desirable

• Experience leading national programs, social impact initiatives, or advocacy-focused organisations such as White Ribbon Australia.
