Workshop Team Leader

Are you an experienced Workshop Team Leader ready to lead a hands-on team for a major Darling Downs agribusiness? Our client is one of Australia's leading agricultural producers, operating across multiple sites with extensive infrastructure and a strong focus on safety and quality. The Role
You will oversee day-to-day workshop activity, keeping work safe, efficient, and to a high standard while hitting production and maintenance targets.

What You'll Be Doing

• Supervising and supporting workshop staff, including trades, apprentices, and contractors
• Planning, allocating, and prioritising daily and weekly workloads
• Enforcing WHS policies, running toolbox talks, and driving a strong safety culture
• Monitoring equipment condition, maintenance schedules, and breakdowns
• Liaising with management, suppliers, and internal stakeholders
• Overseeing job documentation, timesheets, and reporting
• Supporting training, mentoring, and performance development of the team
• Maintaining workshop housekeeping and compliance standards

About You

• Trade qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, Fabrication, or a related discipline
• Previous experience in a Workshop Team Leader or Leading Hand role
• Sound knowledge of WHS requirements and safe work practices
• Confident reading and interpreting work orders, drawings, and schedules
• Strong organisational, time management, and problem-solving skills
• Computer literacy for reporting and scheduling (desirable)
