Business Development Manager - New Business Hunter \n

We are looking for a genuine technology new-business salesperson to join our team. This is not primarily an account-management role. We are looking for a hunter - someone who enjoys finding new prospects, opening doors, creating opportunities and winning new clients. You will be responsible for developing new business across the Melbourne market, building your own pipeline and taking opportunities through the complete sales process. You will have the support of our technical and project delivery teams, allowing you to focus on what you do best: finding opportunities, developing relationships and closing new business.

Key responsibilities

Identifying and targeting new prospective clients
\n
\n
Building and managing your own sales pipeline
\n
\n
Proactively prospecting and generating new opportunities
\n
\n
Cold calling, networking and developing new relationships
\n
\n
Meeting with prospective clients to understand their technology requirements
\n
\n
Developing opportunities from initial contact through to close
\n
\n
Preparing quotations and coordinating tenders and submissions
\n
\n
Working with our technical team to develop solutions and pricing
\n
\n
Negotiating and closing new business
\n
\n
Achieving agreed sales and new-business targets
\n
\n
About you
\n
\n
A proven history of winning new clients and generating new revenue
\n
\n
Several years' experience in B2B technology, IT, AV or a related industry
\n
\n
A strong track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets
\n
\n
Experience with proactive prospecting and outbound sales
\n
\n
The ability to build a pipeline rather than rely solely on inbound leads
\n
\n
Experience managing the complete sales process from prospecting through to close
\n
\n
Strong commercial and negotiation skills
\n
\n
Excellent communication and presentation skills
\n
\n
Experience preparing quotations and tender submissions
\n
\n
Confidence working with technical teams to develop customer solutions
\n
\n
