We are seeking a Production Underwriter to join our dynamic team in Perth, WA.

About the role

• Collaborate with Commercial Account Managers and Underwriters to identify and drive cross-sell opportunities, expanding existing portfolio while delivering comprehensive risk solutions to clients
• Develop and maintain best in market relationships across assigned panel of Brokers.
• Ensure business bound is aligned with divisional objectives as well as growth and profit portfolio balance
• Identify profitable new business opportunities and the maximize conversion or strike rate of desired business
• Maximize the retention of preferred accounts and work with Underwriters to ensure timely review of exception renewal business
• Facilitate planned strategy meetings with Client Relationship Managers
• Keep abreast of market conditions and trends and provide feedback to team members and act to capitalize on new business opportunities.

About you

• Significant experience in an operational, commercial underwriting role in a complex, matrixed general insurance organization
• Adept at proactively building and maintaining professional relationships and networks to enhance industry positioning, exchange knowledge and elicit beneficial outcomes
• Ability to plan and prioritize effectively, organize tasks and manage competing resources and demands
• Comprehensive understanding of relevant regulatory and/or legislative compliance requirements that impact the organization
• Demonstrates enthusiasm and ability to optimize business value to customers by delivering high quality services and positive customer experiences to sustain and enhance the customer base
• A passion for leveraging emerging technologies to stay ahead in a rapidly evolving digital landscape
