General Manager / Licensee – Real Estate

Geraldton, WA | Full Time | Onsite | $140,000–$160,000 + Super + KPI Bonus

Relocation support available for suitable Australian-based candidates | Hybrid considered for the right person

This is a senior leadership opportunity to take ownership of the day-to-day operations of a well-established independent real estate agency in Geraldton.

The business has been operating successfully for more than two decades and is entering its next stage of growth. The owner is stepping back from daily operations and is looking for an experienced leader who can take responsibility for the business, guide the team and drive performance while working closely with ownership on long-term strategy.

This is a newly created role with genuine operational authority. Following a structured handover, you will lead the agency across Residential Sales, Property Management and Business Development while acting as the appointed Licensee.

You will inherit an experienced, loyal team with strong tenure and established knowledge of the business. The focus will be on building leadership capability, strengthening accountability and creating a clear operational rhythm across the agency.

Key Responsibilities

• Take full ownership of the day-to-day operations of the agency.
  
• Act as the appointed Licensee and ensure the business remains compliant with relevant real estate legislation and regulatory requirements.
  
• Lead the Residential Sales, Property Management and Business Development functions.
  
• Mentor and develop department leaders across the business.
  
• Build stronger leadership capability and encourage confident decision-making.
  
• Establish clear leadership meetings, reporting structures and accountability measures.
  
• Monitor business performance, operational efficiency and team productivity.
  
• Work closely with the owner on business strategy, growth initiatives and long-term planning.
  
• Review internal processes and identify opportunities to improve systems, service delivery and profitability.
  
• Support recruitment, onboarding, performance management and team development.
  
• Build and maintain a high-performance culture focused on accountability, professionalism, team development and high-quality client service..
  
• Provide clear operational reporting to the owner and escalate key business issues appropriately.
  
• Drive continuous improvement across people, processes, compliance and performance.
  

Requirements

• Significant leadership experience within the real estate industry.
  
• Strong operational experience across Property Management, Residential Sales or broader agency management.
  
• Ability to operate at General Manager, Licensee or senior leadership level.
  
• Current or eligible WA real estate licence suitable for appointment as Licensee.
  
• Strong understanding of WA real estate compliance and regulatory requirements.
  
• Demonstrated experience leading and developing experienced teams.
  
• Strong commercial judgement and ability to make independent operational decisions.
  
• Experience managing performance, KPIs, reporting and accountability frameworks.
  
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  
• Ability to work closely with an owner while independently running day-to-day operations.
  
• Strong systems, process improvement and business management capability.
  
• Previous experience within an independent real estate agency will be highly regarded.
  
• Willingness to relocate to Geraldton or work within an agreed hybrid arrangement where suitable.
