About the Role:

Curtin University’s School of Nursing is seeking a motivated and dynamic Associate Lecturer / Lecturer (Teaching Academic) to contribute to the delivery of the Master of Nursing (Clinical Practice) Graduate Entry and Bachelor of Science (Nursing) programs.

This role focuses on delivering high-quality, innovative teaching that draws on contemporary nursing practice, research and scholarship to enhance the student learning experience. You will also contribute to scholarly activities, curriculum development and service within the School, with opportunities to develop your teaching and leadership profile.

Who we are looking for (selection criteria):

1. Current registration as a Nurse with AHPRA
2. Progress towards a doctoral qualification in a relevant discipline (or equivalent accreditation and professional standing for a Teaching Focused Clinical Professional role). For appointment at ALB, a doctoral qualification is required.
3. Demonstrated ability to teach effectively and a commitment to reflective improvement in teaching delivery. For appointment at ALB, high-level teaching skills and a strong reflective approach to teaching delivery are required.
4. An understanding of pedagogical theory and contemporary educational practice relevant to the discipline. For appointment at ALB, a strong understanding of pedagogical theory and contemporary educational practice is required.
5. Demonstrated willingness and ability to contribute to scholarship in teaching through participation in teaching and learning strategies and professional development in higher education teaching. For appointment at ALB, an emerging record of contribution to scholarship in teaching is required.
6. Demonstrated ability to contribute to curriculum review and renewal. For appointment at ALB, demonstrated experience or capacity to undertake unit coordination is required.
7. Demonstrated high-level communication, interpersonal and organisational skills, with a commitment to a collegial and supportive working environment and the ability to interact with students and staff with cross-cultural sensitivity.
8. Demonstrated commitment to applying relevant and applicable policies, procedures and legislation in the day-to-day performance of the position.

Role Requirements:

1. As this is a continuing (permanent) role, you will require permanent work rights in Australia to be considered

Full time and part time opportunities available on a permanent basis, with a salary range between $108,064 (ALA.6) - $115,862 (ALA.8) / $121,857 - $144,352 (ALB - Lecturer) per annum, plus 17% superannuation.
