Join our Stomal Therapy Service as a Clinical Nurse Consultant Grade 2 and play a pivotal role in providing expert clinical leadership, specialist care and support to patients with complex stomal therapy needs.

• Provide advanced clinical expertise and specialist consultation to patients, carers and healthcare professionals, ensuring the delivery of safe, evidence-based and person-centred care.
• Lead the development, implementation and evaluation of care management plans for patients with complex health needs within the specialty area.
• Influence and improve clinical practice through leadership, research, quality improvement initiatives and the promotion of best-practice care.
• Contribute to the education and development of nursing staff and multidisciplinary teams by sharing specialist knowledge and supporting workforce capability.
• Collaborate with patients, carers, multidisciplinary teams and external healthcare providers to enhance patient outcomes and ensure seamless, coordinated care.

You are an experienced and compassionate Stomal Therapy nurse who is passionate about delivering specialist care, improving patient outcomes and leading clinical excellence. • Demonstrated specialist knowledge and experience in Stomal Therapy nursing, with the ability to provide expert clinical advice and support for patients with complex care needs.
• Committed to maintaining contemporary clinical knowledge and applying evidence-based practice to improve patient care and outcomes.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with patients, carers, multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders.
• Strong clinical leadership skills, with a passion for education, mentoring and supporting the development of nursing and multidisciplinary staff.
• Demonstrated ability to think critically, solve complex clinical problems and contribute to quality improvement, risk management and service development initiatives.

Selection Criteria

To help us assess your suitability for the role, please tell us as much as you can about yourself in response to the questions below.

• Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) with at least 5 years full time equivalent post registration experience, with at least 3 years full time equivalent experience in the specialty field. In addition, the employee must have approved postgraduate nursing/midwifery qualifications relevant to the field in which the employee is appointed, or such other qualifications or experience deemed appropriate by the public hospital or public health organisation.

Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment. Learner's licenses are not permitted.
