About The Role

\n

We are seeking multiple experienced and safety-focused Plant Operators to join our civil construction and maintenance team. The role involves operating excavators and other heavy plant to deliver Council's works program across a range of construction, earthworks, road, drainage and maintenance projects.

\n

Responsibilities Include

\n

\n
• Safely operate excavators and other heavy plant in accordance with licences, procedures and competency standards.
\n
• Undertake civil construction, earthworks, maintenance activities and manual labouring duties as required.
\n
• Transport and coordinate plant and equipment between work sites.
\n
• Identify hazards, report equipment issues and maintain plant in a safe and serviceable condition.
\n
• Complete pre-starts, risk assessments, equipment logs and incident reports.
\n
• Work effectively with Council staff, contractors and project stakeholders.
\n
• Maintain high standards of safety, quality, productivity and customer service.
\n
• Participate in Toolbox meetings, training and multi-skilling activities.
\n

We're Looking For People Who Have

\n

\n
• Certificate III in Civil Construction Plant Operations or relevant experience.
\n
• Excavator LE competency/licence.
\n
• HR Heavy Rigid Driver Licence.
\n
• General Construction Induction (White Card)
\n
• Reliable, strong team player with good communication skills and a positive attitude.
\n
• Committed to safe, high-quality work and willing to assist with general civil construction and labouring duties.
\n
