Orthoshop Orthodontic Laboratory is currently seeking an experienced senior Orthodontic Dental Technician to join their team in a full time role at their practice in Perth.
Applicants must have at least 2 years' experience in a similar role and hold a relevant qualification. Experience managing staff in a Laboratory Manager role would be preferable.
Duties may include:
Fabricating Orthodontic Appliances

- Create various orthodontic appliances such as retainers, aligners, space maintainers, and expanders based on orthodontists prescriptions.
- Use dental impressions or digital scans of patients' teeth to create models for designing and manufacturing these appliances.
Adjusting and Repairing Appliances -
- Make adjustments or repairs to orthodontic appliances, such as fixing broken wires, replacing worn-out components, or adjusting the fit of retainers.
- Modify existing appliances as per the orthodontist's specifications to ensure they meet the patient's needs.Material Handling and Selection -
- Select and handle appropriate materials, such as metal, acrylic, or plastic, for fabricating different types of orthodontic devices.
- Ensure the materials meet safety and quality standards, providing durability and comfort for the patient.Maintaining Laboratory Equipment -
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, such as dental lathes, drills, and 3d printers, used in the creation of orthodontic appliances
- Experience in using itero, 3 shape and other scanning software. 3d designing would be preferable.A salary of $79,500 - $85,000 will be offered to the successful candidate.
