About the Role
You will provide accounting and administrative support for a key international business unit. Working closely with local and overseas stakeholders, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of financial transactions, reporting, reconciliations, and general administration.
This role would suit a candidate with a strong attention to detail who is looking to build a long-term career in accounting and finance.

Key Responsibilities
Transaction Processing & Reconciliations

• Process financial transactions and maintain accurate records.
• Handle invoicing, payment processing, and related documentation.
• Reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
• Assist with sales-related administration and financial processing.
• Ensure financial records are maintained accurately and in a timely manner.

Reporting & Financial Support

• Prepare monthly financial reports and reconciliations.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Support cash flow reporting and monitoring.
• Assist in preparing financial statements and audit documentation.
• Support the maintenance of internal controls and financial processes.

Stakeholder & Administrative Support

• Respond to enquiries from internal and external stakeholders.
• Liaise with colleagues across different business functions to resolve issues and improve processes.
• Translate business communications between English and Japanese where required.
• Prepare meeting notes, reports, and administrative documentation.
• Coordinate meetings and provide general administrative support.

Team Support

• Assist the wider finance team with reporting, reconciliations, and administrative tasks.
• Contribute positively to a collaborative and professional team environment.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and process enhancements.

About You
Skills & Experience

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or nearing completion.
• 0-2 years of accounting, accounts, finance administration, or bookkeeping experience.
• Native-level Japanese and strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
• Experience with accounting software such as Xero, NetSuite, MYOB, SAP, or similar systems is advantageous.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop professionally.
• Comfortable working within a multicultural and internationally focused business environment.
