Job description

Are you an experienced Employee Relations professional with a passion for navigating complex workplace matters and partnering with leaders to deliver practical, commercial outcomes?

We're partnering with a well-known Australian organisation to appoint an Employee Relations Consultant for an initial 3-month contract, with potential extension.

We are also recruiting for a Senior P&C Advisor to join the team so don't hesitate to apply if you are at advisory level

This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-performing People & Culture function and contribute across a broad range of employee relations matters within a large, dynamic and fast-paced environment.

About the Role

Reporting into a specialist Employee Relations team, you will provide expert advice and guidance across a diverse portfolio of ER matters while supporting leaders to manage workplace issues confidently and effectively.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing complex employee relations casework from end to end

  • Conducting workplace investigations and preparing recommendations

  • Advising on performance, conduct, disciplinary and grievance matters

  • Supporting leaders through organisational policies and employment obligations

  • Managing matters involving workplace complaints, misconduct and policy breaches

  • Partnering with key stakeholders to deliver commercially sound and compliant outcomes

  • Contributing to a positive employee experience while balancing organisational risk

About You

To be successful, you'll bring:

  • Demonstrated experience in Employee Relations, Workplace Relations or a specialist HR advisory role

  • Strong workplace investigation experience

  • Sound knowledge of Australian employment legislation and ER frameworks

  • Experience managing performance, conduct and grievance matters

  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills

  • The ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment and quickly build credibility with leaders

Experience supporting Fair Work Commission matters, conciliations or complex ER cases will be highly regarded.
