Hospitality - Kitchen Hand & Cleaning - KBH

The Position

Based at Kinross Care Centre Beach House, your role in Hospitality as a Kitchenhand and Cleaner is more than just meets the eye. It’s about bringing warmth and care to our residents through food and delivering high-quality cleaning services. By keeping the kitchen organised, supporting meal preparation and fostering respectful and positive interactions with clients, their families, staff, and others, you’ll help create moments of comfort and joy that truly makes it feel like home. This is a Part-time role offering 26.5 hours per fortnight.

Week 1

Monday: 15:00-19:00 (kitchenhand)

Tuesday: 15:00-19:00 (kitchenhand)

Wednesday: 08:30-13:30 (cleaning)

Week 2

Monday: 15:00-19:00 (kitchenhand)

Tuesday: 15:00-19:00 (kitchenhand)

Wednesday: 08:30-14:30 (cleaning)

Please note you must be able to commit to the rostered shifts for your application to be considered

Key responsibilities:

• Prepare and plate food, serve and clear away meals in line with food preparation schedules.
• Maintain the food preparation and serving areas to state hygiene standards.
• Maintain appropriate resident interactions in line with the organizational values.
• Consider resident lifestyles and personal choice.
• Maintain effective interpersonal relationships with others.
• Collect all temperature and cleaning records for the week and place in managers basket for checking and signing.
• Record any dietary changes on master print out.
• Check on stock requirements, e.g. bread, milk, OJ, yoghurt and change as necessary.
• As required replenish shopping supplies which are specific and not currently available from usual supplier.

Essential Criteria:

• Evidence of Current Flu vaccination per Amana Living policies
• Ability to obtain a National Police Clearance (within 6-months validity)
• Successful completion of pre-employment medical and reference checks
• Proven organisational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team, as required
• Willingness to attend 2 day paid induction at our Rivervale Training Institute
