What is a podiatrist trainee? \n

A podiatrist trainee is someone enrolled in an approved Australian university podiatry degree and employed in a health service.As a podiatrist trainee, you will gain hands‑on experience working under the supervision of an experienced podiatrist. Some of the tasks you may be asked to help with include:diagnosing and treating a wide variety of lower limb conditionschecking blood flow and undertaking assessments to determine the risk of amputationfitting and adjustments of orthopaedic aids like moonboots or insolesapplying medical padding, strapping and dressingshelping with minor surgical procedures

Wages and allowances \n

Allied health professionals at Queensland Health are offered a wide range of benefits and competitive pay rates that are outlined on this page.Podiatrist trainee's will be employed at a Health Practitioner Level 1 (HP1) for up to 2 days per week and will be paid in line with award rates.
