About the Role
We're looking for a Specialist - Marketing Technology & Automation located in Sydney to help drive the next evolution of Canon's marketing technology ecosystem. This is a highly visible role that sits across marketing, customer data and technology, helping the business better understand, engage and grow its customer base.
Reporting to the Manager - Digital & Experience Design and based in Macquarie Park, you will play a key role in managing customer data, Salesforce CRM capability and marketing automation initiatives across Canon's Consumer, Professional and B2B divisions. You'll work closely with Marketing, Sales and IT teams to optimise customer journeys, improve data quality and integrations, deliver actionable insights, and identify new opportunities to leverage automation and AI to drive business outcomes.
Scope of the role includes:
• Manage and optimise Salesforce CRM to support marketing and customer engagement initiatives
• Support the ongoing development of Canon's marketing technology ecosystem
• Improve the quality, governance and use of customer data across platforms
• Design, build and optimise automated customer journeys
• Drive customer segmentation and personalisation initiatives
• Develop reports, dashboards and insights that support data-driven decision making
• Identify opportunities to improve marketing effectiveness through automation and AI
• Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, IT and external partners to deliver integrated solutions
• Support digital measurement, analytics and campaign performance optimisation
• Contribute to the future roadmap for marketing technology and customer engagement
About you
You're passionate about the role technology and data play in creating better customer experiences. You enjoy understanding how systems connect, how data flows between platforms, and how automation can improve both efficiency and results.
You'll bring a strong background in Salesforce CRM, customer data and marketing technology, along with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You're naturally curious, commercially minded and enjoy translating complex challenges into practical solutions.
Most importantly, you're excited by the opportunity to shape how Canon uses customer data, automation and emerging technologies to deliver exceptional customer experiences and business outcomes.
Key skills and experience include:
• Experience in a Marketing Technology, Marketing Operations, CRM or Marketing Automation role
• Strong hands-on Salesforce CRM experience (essential)
• Experience working with customer data, data governance and platform integrations
• Proven experience supporting or managing marketing automation and customer journey initiatives
• Knowledge of digital analytics, reporting and performance measurement frameworks
• Experience using data and segmentation to drive customer engagement and business outcomes
• Ability to build strong relationships across Marketing, Sales, IT and external partners
• Experience with AI-enabled marketing tools or a strong interest in emerging marketing technologies
