Enrolled Nurse - Marangaroo

About the Marangaroo site:

Our Transitional Rehabilitation Program (TRP) is a 23-bed facility supporting individuals with a range of disabilities and complex medical needs.

The TRP program provides residential based community rehabilitation to clients. The service provides 24/7 support for individuals living with acquired brain injuries and other neurological disability (eg. Huntington’s Disease, Parkinson's Disease, Multiple Sclerosis, FND) including those with mental health needs and other co-morbidities with complex cognitive, behavioural, and physical needs. This can include people with tracheostomy, Prolonged Disorders of Consciousness, TBI, stroke, neurodegenerative conditions.

Patients are referred from a Perth Metro Hospital including the State Rehabilitation Services at Fiona Stanley Hospital for continued slow stream rehabilitation.

You will work alongside a dedicated multidisciplinary team to positively impact client outcomes. Enrolled Nurses at the site work morning shifts from 7:00am to 2:30pm, afternoon shifts from 2:00pm to 9:00pm, and night shifts from 8:45pm to 7:15am.

The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to work at our four-bed Aylesford Supported Independent Living (SIL) house in Marangaroo.

About the role:
We are seeking an experienced Enrolled Nurse to join the team on a casual basis. To be considered for this role, you must be available to work at least three weekdays each week. Candidates who are available to work multiple shift types will be viewed favourably.

To be suitable for this role, you will need:

• Current registration with Ahpra as an Enrolled Nurse
• Experience delivering high-quality clinical care
• PEG and medication competent, including the safe administration of medications via PEG
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds
• Experience supporting individualised care plans and holistic outcomes
• A compassionate and proactive approach
• The ability to manage workloads safely and efficiently, and confidently lead other team members
• A satisfactory National Police Clearance that is less than one year old
• A satisfactory NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
• A valid First Aid and CPR Certificate
• Current Driver’s Licence
