This is a hands-on role working with stainless steel, including pickling and passivation, material preparation, cleaning and general workshop duties. You’ll be part of a supportive team delivering quality steel products while maintaining a strong focus on safety and workmanship.

As a Labourer at EDMS Australia in Townsville, you will be an integral part of our Workshop team. This is a casual position that offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to our operations. Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with general workshop duties such as cleaning and maintaining work areas
\n
\n
• Supporting skilled tradespeople in various tasks
\n
\n
• Handling and moving materials as required
\n
\n
• Operating basic hand and power tools under supervision
\n
\n
• Adhering to health and safety regulations at all times
\n
\n

\n

The main tasks for this role involve:

\n

\n
• Performing manual labour tasks to support workshop operations
\n
\n
• Ensuring cleanliness and organisation within the work environment
\n
\n
• Following instructions from supervisors to complete assigned duties efficiently
\n
\n
• Maintaining a high standard of quality and attention to detail in all tasks undertaken
\n
\n
• Contributing to a positive team environment through effective communication and collaboration
\n
\n

\nDesired Skills and Experience \n
\n

You will be a reliable and versatile worker with a strong work ethic and a willingness to get hands-on. You will hold a current White Card and manual driver’s licence, and be able to successfully complete a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screening.
