Location: The Station & Perisher
\n Employment Type: Full-Time, Year-Round
\n Remuneration:$75,127.81 + 12% Super + Overtime
\n Positions Available: 2

Join Perisher's Civil and Building Team as a Carpenter and help maintain, repair, refurbish, and improve the buildings, guest facilities, and infrastructure that keep our resorts operating year-round. Two Carpenter positions are available, one at The Station and one at Perisher. Both roles offer varied carpentry, construction, and maintenance work in a unique alpine environment. The Station position will participate in an on-call roster during winter, supporting reactive maintenance and operational requirements.

What You'll Be Doing

\n

    \n
  • Complete carpentry, construction, maintenance, refurbishment, and renovation works
    • \n
  • Undertake preventative and reactive maintenance across resort buildings and infrastructure
    • \n
  • Read and interpret plans, drawings, specifications, and work orders
    • \n
  • Repair and replace building components including doors, windows, flooring, cabinetry, fixtures, and fittings
    • \n
  • Complete minor construction and project works
    • \n
  • Source materials and maintain appropriate stock levels
    • \n
  • Safely operate and maintain tools, plant, equipment, and machinery
    • \n
  • Respond to maintenance requests and identify and rectify defects and safety hazards
    • \n
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records
    • \n
  • Work collaboratively with trades, contractors, and resort departments
    • \n
  • Support operational requirements including snow clearing and emergency response
    • \n

What We're Looking For

\n

    \n
  • Trade qualification in Carpentry or relevant Building Trade, or equivalent experience
    • \n
  • Current Driver's Licence
    • \n
  • Construction Induction Card (White Card)
    • \n
  • Demonstrated carpentry, construction, or building maintenance experience
    • \n
  • Strong practical trade and problem-solving skills
    • \n
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • \n
  • Strong communication, reliability, and attention to detail
    • \n
  • Commitment to safety and high-quality workmanship
    • \n
  • Ability to work in changing alpine conditions
    • \n

Desirable Experience

\n

    \n
  • Remote or alpine work experience
    • \n
  • EWP and/or Working at Heights certification
    • \n
  • Forklift licence
    • \n
  • First Aid certification
    • \n
  • Experience with maintenance management systems
    • \n
