Operational Officer Porterage

Your new role:As a Porterage Support Officer at Princess Alexandra Hospital, you'll play an important role in supporting the smooth and safe operation of the hospital. Working as part of the Operational Services team, you'll provide patient support and transportation services across the hospital, helping move patients, equipment, materials, linen and waste where they need to go. This is a varied, hands-on role where teamwork, safety and excellent service are essential.You will:Assist with patient lifting and turning, using appropriate manual handling practices and equipment.Collect and deliver linen, assist with cleaning and safely transfer toxic and infectious waste.Work closely with clinical staff, respond to emergency situations and ensure equipment is clean, safe and ready for use.About you:You'll be a reliable and motivated team player who takes pride in providing a high standard of service to patients, staff and customers. You'll be comfortable working in a busy hospital environment and undertaking physical tasks such as pushing, pulling, lifting, bending and reaching.
