About the role: \n

This is a temporary part-time position within our department working as the Senior Occupational Therapist in the Amputee and Rehabilitation Service. This position will be responsible for a clinical caseload in amputees (upper and lower limb), as well as supervising Level 1/2 Occupational Therapists within the rehab team. We are seeking strong leadership in this space and there are various other roles and responsibilities you will have as a Senior clinician in our department. Our Amputee/Rehabilitation senior is part of the Rehab stream within our department meaning you will be working alongside other rehab senior and level 1/2 clinicians.

Qualification: Degree or Masters in Occupational therapy

\n

Registration: AHPRA registration with Occupational Therapy

Selection Criteria: \n

\n
• Qualifications in accordance with Schedule C of the NSW Health Service Health Professionals (State) Award and Current Registration with AHPRA.
\n
• Extensive post graduate clinical experience in amputee and inpatient rehabilitation settings.
\n
• Excellent negotiation, decision making and advocacy skills including the ability to interact constructively and collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders, throughout all organisational levels.
\n
• Ability to provide in-depth advice and education to enhance service delivery and to guide and support others in providing service excellence, with the capacity to provide clinical supervision to other staff.
\n
• Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and to apply advanced reasoning skills and independent professional judgement when dealing with situations of a novel, complex or critical nature.
\n
• Ability to initiate, lead, complete and share quality improvement initiatives and service evaluation processes and lead ongoing quality improvement activities with other staff.
\n
• Demonstrated commitment to ongoing clinical and professional learning.
\n
• Current Class C Drivers Licence.
