Principal Broker

Marsh Risk is seeking candidates for the position of Principal Broker to join our Corporate and Commercial team at Marsh. This role will be based in Cairns or Townsville. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

Principal Broker - Corporate & Commercial

This role will suit an experienced insurance broker with 5+ years’ experience managing a commercial or corporate portfolio of business. This role will provide exposure to a diverse portfolio of risks, leading and participating in large new business tenders and proposals, building a network of opportunities and designing and placing complex insurance programs.

We will count on you to:

• Grow a corporate/commercial portfolio of key revenue-generating accounts while ensuring high-quality customer service.
• Develop, pursue and convert new business opportunities.
• Grow a commercial portfolio through new logo and organic expanded opportunities.
• On-board new clients and deliver on our value proposition.
• Develop and maintain meaningful working relationships with insurers at a senior level.
• Lead, plan, and implement effective renewal and broking strategies.
• Ensure effective account retention and defense strategies are in place for all clients.
• Actively participate in all claim-related matters and track new business opportunities.

What you need to have:

• 5+ years of commercial broking experience.
• Proven ability to produce new business.
• Extensive knowledge of risks and insurance products for key industry sectors.
• Strong market presence within General Insurance.
