\n St Joseph's Outside School Hours Care is a welcoming, community-focused service operating as part of the local parish community. We provide high-quality Before School Care, After School Care, and Vacation Care, offering children a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment to learn, play, and grow.

Our program makes the most of diverse play spaces and includes a wide range of enriching experiences such as cooking, arts and crafts, music, organised sports, drama, indoor group games, and much more.

A Day in the Life of an OSHC Educator…

\n

\n
• Provide warm, nurturing care for children across before school, after school, and vacation care
\n
• Create a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for all
\n
• Design and deliver fun, inclusive recreational and educational experiences
\n
• Maintain positive working relationships with all team members
\n
• Work collaboratively within an established team to ensure the best outcomes for children and families
\n
• Join exciting excursions and special events during vacation care
\n
• Feel proud to come to work knowing you're making a real difference in children's lives every day
\n

Responsibilities: \n

\n
• Engage and supervise children in a safe and supportive manner during before and after school care sessions
\n
• Plan and implement age-appropriate activities to promote learning, creativity, and social development
\n
• Foster positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues
\n
• Maintain a clean and organised OSHC environment
\n
• Comply with all relevant policies and regulations
\n

Job Requirements: \n

\n
• Hold (or are working towards) a Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or an ACECQA approved equivalent
\n
• Hold a current Queensland Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
\n
• Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis certifications (or willingness to obtain)
\n
• Mandatory Child Protection (Geccko) Course 1 & 2 — Course 3 & 4 optional but highly regarded
\n
• Experience in an inclusion support role or a Certificate III in Individual Support is highly regarded
\n
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
\n
• A genuine passion for working with children and helping them reach their full potential
\n
