Traffic & Events Scheduler - North Melbourne

\n

FULL-TIME | MONDAY-FRIDAY | 7:30 AM-4:00 PM

\n

$36.23 per hour + overtime & penalties + superannuation

\n

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced and organised professional to join a Traffic & Events team as a Traffic & Events Scheduler , based at a North Melbourne office .

\n

About The Opportunity

\n

The Traffic & Events Scheduler is responsible for coordinating and scheduling Traffic Management works, ensuring jobs are planned and delivered safely, efficiently and in line with operational requirements, client expectations, budgets and targets.

\n

Working closely with the Operations Leader and broader Traffic Management team , you will play a central role in coordinating people, resources and jobs — from initial planning and costing through to scheduling, monitoring, administration and completion.

\n

What You'll Be Responsible For

\n

    \n
  • Plan and cost Traffic Management jobs in accordance with operational and quality requirements.
    • \n
  • Schedule, coordinate and monitor work orders and jobs, ensuring schedules accurately reflect current project status.
    • \n
  • Coordinate people, vehicles, equipment and other resources to support efficient operational delivery.
    • \n
  • Manage changing priorities and ensure resources are allocated appropriately.
    • \n
  • Process purchase orders and maintain accurate and timely information within business systems.
    • \n
  • Liaise with internal teams to resolve invoice, purchasing and material discrepancies.
    • \n
  • Maintain strong working relationships with operational teams, clients, contractors, suppliers and other external stakeholders.
    • \n
  • Provide a high level of customer service, responding to operational requirements and queries promptly and professionally.
    • \n
  • Ensure work is undertaken in accordance with company procedures, contractual obligations, safety requirements and relevant legislation.
    • \n
  • Assist with event planning and traffic management requirements, including preparation for major events.
    • \n
  • Support continuous improvement, identifying opportunities to improve scheduling, systems, processes and operational outcomes.
    • \n
  • Assist with planning, reporting, documentation and administrative activities.
    • \n
  • Maintain accurate electronic and hard-copy records.
    • \n
  • Ensure incidents and operational issues are reported promptly to the Operations Leader.
    • \n
  • Process weekly timesheets accurately.
    • \n
  • Participate in weekend work and event support when required, particularly for major events.
    • \n

Mandatory Requirements

\n

The successful candidate must hold all required and current Traffic Management tickets/licences for the role and be able to provide evidence of their qualifications and tickets upon request.

  • Hold full/current tickets and qualifications relevant to Traffic Management and the duties of the position.
    • \n
  • Be legally entitled to work in Australia.
    • \n
  • Have a reliable and professional approach to attendance and punctuality.
    • \n
  • Be available to work weekends when required for major events.
    • \n
  • Be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where schedules and operational priorities can change at short notice.
    • \n

Remuneration

\n

Hourly rate: $36.23 per hour + overtime and applicable penalties + superannuation.
