An opportunity waits for a PERSONAL CARE WORKER (PCW) reporting to the Director of Nursing.
\n
The position is for someone who has flexible availability with potential to work morning or afternoon and available to work 5 days per week.
\n
Key Responsibilities:
\n
- \n
- To assist our Residents in their daily care needs like showering, toileting, grooming, oral hygiene, feeding and more. \n
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, visitors and other staff of the organisation \n
- Attend to buzzers \n
- To deliver a high standard of care to our residents and maintain quality of life \n
- Have an excellent communication skill and possess high level of documentation \n
- To maintain up to date knowledge on AN-ACC, accreditation process, new practices, and procedures \n
- Report any changes in the residents' overall condition to the registered nurse on duty \n
- Commitment to Continuous Quality Improvement \n
- 1 year of relevant work experience required for this role \n
- Working rights required for this role \n
- Successful applicants will have: \n
- Attained min. Certificate III in Aged Care or Individual Support \n
- Proven experience working in Aged Care \n
- A caring and empathetic manner \n
- Strong attention to detail \n
- Effective communication skills both written and verbal \n
- Aware of work health and safety and infection control procedures \n
- Knowledge of the Aged Care Accreditation Standards \n
