Job Description

Grand River Personnel is recruiting experienced Assemblers for current full-time (temp-to-hire) vacancies in Cambridge, ON.

We are hiring now for dependable, detail-oriented individuals who take pride in producing quality work. The successful candidates will have strong assembly experience, excellent communication skills in English, and a proven history of job stability in previous roles.

\n

This position is not open to students. Please NO student applications.

\n

Shift(s):

\n

Days:

\n

Monday–Thursday: 7:30 AM–4:30 PM
\n Friday: 7:45 AM–2:00 PM

\n

Nights:

\n

Monday–Thursday: 9:30 PM–8:00 AM ($1.00 Shift Premium).
\n Night-shift candidates may be required to train on days, Monday–Friday, until fully trained and able to work independently.

\n

Pay Rate:

\n

$21.00–$23.00/hour, based on experience + 4% vacation pay added to each weekly cheque

\n

Responsibilities:

\n

\n
• Assemble metal components using screws, clips, adhesives, bonding materials, and other assembly methods
\n
• Use hand and power tools, including drills, electric staple guns, and glue guns
\n
• Inspect completed work and perform quality checks on products assembled by fellow team members
\n
• Identify defects and ensure products meet specifications using visual inspection, sample models, and measuring instruments
\n
• Read work orders, part numbers, and product specifications accurately
\n
• Sort, package, crate, and prepare finished products according to customer requirements
\n
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
\n

Requirements

\n

\n
• Previous assembly experience in a metal fabrication or manufacturing environment
\n
• Excellent attention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracy
\n
• Excellent verbal communication skills in English, including the ability to clearly understand and communicate workplace instructions
\n
• Proven job stability and a consistent employment history are very important
\n
• Strong working knowledge of hand and power tools
\n
• Ability to read and accurately interpret work orders and alpha/numeric part numbers
\n
• Basic computer proficiency
\n
• High school diploma or equivalent experience
\n
• Reliable, punctual, dependable, and committed to regular attendance
\n
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs.
\n
• CSA-approved safety footwear required
\n
