About The Organisation \n

Our client is a large and complex government organisation undertaking a significant Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) transformation program aimed at modernising critical business systems and improving operational efficiency. The organisation is investing in the uplift of its ERP landscape to improve resilience, security, integration capabilities, and ongoing support for core business operations.

About the Role \n

We are seeking an experienced ERP Business Consultant – Finance to support a major ERP modernisation initiative and ongoing business-as-usual operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring finance-related business requirements are translated into effective SAP solutions that align with organisational objectives and industry best practices. This role will play a key part in supporting ERP upgrade and transformation initiatives through business process improvement, stakeholder engagement, solution optimisation, and delivery support. Working closely with business stakeholders, application teams, and project delivery teams, you will provide expert guidance across SAP Finance modules and contribute to the successful delivery of ERP program outcomes.

Contract: 12 Months

Key Accountabilities And Outcomes \n

Provide expert functional support, configuration, and service delivery across SAP Finance modules.

\n

\n
• Ensure SAP Finance solutions align with business objectives, compliance requirements, and industry best practices.
\n
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, operational teams, and project teams to gather requirements and deliver business outcomes.
\n
• Translate business requirements into practical and sustainable SAP Finance solutions.
\n
• Analyse and resolve finance system issues to ensure system stability, integrity, and performance.
\n
• Support ERP upgrade and transformation initiatives through solution design and delivery activities.
\n
• Develop and maintain solution documentation, functional specifications, and support artefacts.
\n
• Participate in testing activities including system, integration, and user acceptance testing.
\n
• Support continuous improvement and optimisation of finance-related processes and system capabilities.
\n
• Contribute to ERP roadmap initiatives and strategic transformation objectives.
\n
• Work closely with technical teams and vendors to support application delivery and operational support requirements.
\n

Desired Experience And Capabilities \n

Strong experience as an SAP Business Consultant specialising in Finance.

\n

• Demonstrated experience supporting SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA Finance environments.
\n
• Proven experience in ERP Finance consulting within large and complex organisations.
\n
• Experience supporting ERP upgrades, implementations, and transformation programs.
\n
• Strong knowledge of enterprise applications management and service delivery practices.
\n
• Experience working within large government organisations or highly regulated industries.
\n
• Strong understanding of finance business processes and SAP Finance capabilities.
\n
• Experience supporting SAP Finance integrations with payroll systems and custom applications.
\n
• Ability to identify opportunities for process improvement and solution optimisation.
\n
• Strong troubleshooting and issue-resolution capabilities.
\n
• Experience supporting business stakeholders through change and transformation initiatives.
\n

Skills Requirements SAP Finance Expertise \n

Demonstrated experience configuring, supporting, and optimising SAP ECC or SAP S/4HANA Finance solutions.

• Stakeholder Engagement – Strong ability to engage with business and technical stakeholders and translate requirements into effective solutions.
\n
• Business Process Improvement – Experience analysing and improving finance processes through technology solutions.
\n
• Problem Solving – Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve complex business and technical issues.
\n
• Communication Skills – Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence outcomes and engage stakeholders at all levels.
\n
• Project Delivery – Experience supporting ERP implementation, upgrade, and transformation projects from planning through delivery.

• Collaboration – Ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams in complex enterprise environments.

Preferred Qualifications \n

Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

• SAP Finance or SAP S/4HANA certifications.
\n
• Experience supporting enterprise ERP transformation programs.
\n
• Knowledge of government or highly regulated operational environments.
\n
• Experience with integrated SAP Finance, Payroll, and Enterprise Application ecosystems.
\n

National Police Check.

• Baseline Security Clearance.
\n
• Ability to obtain and maintain Negative Vetting Level 1 (NV1) Security Clearance.
\n
• Two professional reference checks.
\n
• 40 hours per week.
