As we continue to grow our team, we’re looking for passionate wine professionals to join Cibaria.

\n

We’re open to all levels of experience.

\n

Whether you’re an experienced Wine Waiter looking to take the next step, an established Sommelier, or ready for an Assistant Head Sommelier position, we’d love to hear from you.

\n

The position, responsibilities and salary package will be tailored to your experience and capability.

The Opportunity \n

You’ll join an established restaurant and sommelier team, working across a busy, premium dining environment with a strong focus on Italian and Australian wines, alongside an extensive international selection.

Depending On Your Experience, Your Role Could Include \n

• Delivering knowledgeable and engaging wine service on the restaurant floor.
\n
• Providing wine recommendations and creating memorable guest experiences.
\n
• Developing your knowledge across Italian, Australian and international wines.
\n
• Supporting wine training and development across the broader restaurant team.
\n
• Assisting with cellar management, stock control and wine ordering.
\n
• Supporting the ongoing development of the Cibaria wine list.
\n
• Mentoring and developing junior members of the wine team.
\n
• Taking on additional leadership responsibilities at Assistant Head Sommelier level.
\n

Qualifications \n

\n
• Previous restaurant or wine service experience.
\n
• A genuine passion for wine and hospitality.
\n
• Strong communication and guest engagement skills.
\n
• An eagerness to learn and continue developing your wine knowledge.
\n
• The ability to work confidently in a busy, high-quality restaurant environment.
\n
• A positive attitude and strong team mentality.
\n
• Formal wine qualifications such as WSET or CMS are highly regarded, but practical experience, knowledge and attitude are equally important.
\n
