We are working on behalf of our client, an established independent automotive service centre in the Shaftesbury region, to recruit a MOT Technician. This is an excellent MOT Technician opportunity for a skilled professional seeking a role within a reputable, family-run garage with outstanding customer reviews. The successful individual will join a dedicated workshop team and contribute to delivering high-quality vehicle maintenance and repairs.
The MOT Technician role offers a competitive salary of up to £42,000 per annum, dependent on experience and qualifications. Working hours are Monday to Friday, from 8:30am to 5:30pm, with the possibility of optional overtime. Benefits include 32 days of annual leave, a workplace pension scheme, in-house technical training, and development opportunities. The role is ideal for an individual committed to high standards, with a valid MOT licence and relevant experience post-qualification.

Duties of a MOT Technician:
- Carry out fault diagnosis, servicing, maintenance and repairs on customer vehicles
- Conduct MOT testing as an active MOT licence holder
- Accurately diagnose vehicle faults and report on vehicle condition, safety, and performance
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and company standards
- Work efficiently within a busy workshop environment, meeting set targets
- Maintain high standards of work quality and customer satisfaction
Requirements of a MOT Technician:
- Active MOT licence and relevant technical qualifications
- Several years’ post-qualification experience as a MOT Technician
- Valid UK driving licence with minimal points
- Strong mechanical aptitudes and attention to detail
- Ability to produce high-quality work consistently
- Good team player with a committed attitude
