Position Overview:

• Role: Electrical Technician's (HV and Protections experience)
\n
• Roster: 8/6 or 14/14 (Days on/Days off)
\n
• Excellent rate $$$+ Super paid on ALL hours worked
\n
• Duration: Ongoing work well over 12 + months (Open-ended Casual contract)
\n
• Start Date: ASAP 2026
\n
• Location: Pilbara, Western Australia (Working on many sites/client assets)
\n
• POH: WA based (We will not cover flight costs outside of Perth)
\n
• Work Scope- Maintenance, Commissioning and Breakdowns
\n

\n

Scope of Work:

\n

\n
• Execute detailed commissioning and maintenance on complex protection and control systems
\n
• Execute professional commissioning and maintenance on HV substation primary plant
\n
• Take responsibility for the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of all network assets
\n
• Develop Work Instructions, Task Lists, Procedures for the Primary Plant/Protection System Assets under control of HV & Power, Eastern
\n
• Ensure safe completion and close-out of Primary Plant/Protection System works on a daily basis
\n
• Execute critical Shutdowns, ensuring trouble-free maintenance windows and handback
\n
• Initiating and / or participating in continuous improvement projects
\n
• Liaising with Mine & Town Stakeholders to ensure a safe and efficient service
\n
• Ability to identify problems, implement solutions to manage departmental and company supply chain risk
\n
• Ensure conformance with the client Documents, Code of Conduct and relevant statutory obligations.
\n

About You:

\n

\n
• WA Electrical Licence (A-Grade)
\n
• Previous experience in mining, resources, or heavy industry
\n
• Strong background in maintenance and breakdown troubleshooting
\n
• HV switching
\n
• Proven maintenance & commissioning experience in a Power Utility environment – Protection Systems, Switchyards, Primary Plant – essential
\n
• Proven experience with High Voltage/Protection Systems in a Mining environment – highly regarded
\n
• Proficiency with setup, commissioning, and monitoring of various Protection Relay schemes, manufacturers etc. Proficiency with the 'Omicron' suite of Protection Equipment will be highly regarded
\n
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills are key components of this role as you will work closely with a variety of stakeholders
\n
• Experience with computerised maintenance management systems (SAP experience is highly desirable)
\n
• The ability to apply expertise to analyse and solve problems without clear precedent
\n
• Ability to work in remote FIFO environments and shift rosters
\n
• CPR LVR
\n
• First Aid
\n
• High Risk Work Licence with any/all of WP, CV, LF, Dogging/Rigging endorsements - highly regarded
\n
