QSE Project Officer (Site-Based)

Freyssinet Australia is seeking a proactive and experienced QSE Officer to support the delivery of safe, high-quality remedial projects across WA. This is a predominantly site-based role (approx. 80% on-site), ideal for someone who thrives in the field, enjoys mentoring teams face-to-face, and is passionate about making work sites safer and more efficient.

About The Role

\n

As a QSE Project Advisor, you will be a visible and hands‐on presence across project sites, working closely with frontline teams to embed a strong Quality, Safety, and Environmental (QSE) culture.

\n

You will focus on real-time risk identification, coaching, and practical support, ensuring critical controls are implemented effectively and consistently across all phases of work.

Key Responsibilities

• Site‐Based Leadership & Engagement (≈80% on site)\n

  • Maintain a strong on‐site presence, actively engaging with supervisors, workers, and subcontractors.
  \n
  • Provide real‐time QSE advice and support during live works.
  \n
  • Lead by example to drive safe behaviours and high‐quality outcomes.
  \n

• QSE Implementation & Oversight\n
  \n
  • Implement and execute QSE strategies, frameworks, and critical control management across projects.
  \n
  • Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
  \n
  • Ensure compliance with company, client, and regulatory requirements.
  \n
\n
• Coaching & Mentoring\n
  \n
  • Build strong relationships with site teams to provide practical guidance and mentoring.
  \n
  • Deliver toolbox talks, site briefings, and targeted training.
  \n
  • Support leaders to strengthen QSE ownership and accountability.
  \n
\n
• Incident Management & Improvement\n
  \n
  • Lead internal investigations (e.g., iCam) and identify root causes.
  \n
  • Recommend and track corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  \n
  • Identify trends and drive continuous improvement initiatives on site.
  \n
\n
• Reporting & Administration\n
  \n
  • Maintain QSE administrative processes and documentation.
  \n
  • Develop OHS and QSE performance reports with actionable site‐level insights.
  \n
  • Use data to support proactive risk management and decision‐making.
  \n
\n
• Technical Problem Solving\n
  \n
  • Apply technical expertise to complex, high‐risk site scenarios.
  \n
  • Support safe work practices in environments involving heights, access systems, and multiple contractors.
  \n

What We're Looking For

\n

Experience

\n

\n
• Minimum 3 years' experience in construction or similar project-based environments.
\n
• Strong exposure to site-based operations and high-risk activities.
\n

\n

Qualifications

\n

\n
• Certificate IV in Workplace Health and Safety (or equivalent).
\n

\n

Desirable

\n

\n
• Experience in building remediation, cladding, or maintenance.
\n
• Exposure to high-risk work environments (heights, scaffolding, mast climbers, swing stages).
\n
• Experience working closely with subcontractors on active sites.
\n
