• Permanent Full-Time Position available
• Rotating shifts between 7.00am to 6.00pm Mondays to Fridays
• Located in Kensington

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Educational Leader plays a critical role in driving continuous improvement and high-quality pedagogy across the service. This role is dedicated to supporting and enhancing educator practice, ensuring the delivery of inclusive, responsive, and evidence-informed early childhood education.

Working 0.8 FTE per week directly in ratio, the Educational Leader provides coaching, mentoring, and on-the-floor support to build educator capability and confidence. The remaining 0.2 FTE per week is allocated for non-contact time for planning, reflection, and leading practice initiatives that align with the National Quality Framework and Ngala’s values. The Educational Leaders roster is planned based on the needs of the centre and the practice team, in consultation with the centre coordinator, the Educational Leader and the Practice and Compliance Lead.

As a champion of quality teaching and learning, the Educational Leader fosters a culture of professional growth and collaboration, supports implementation of the approved learning frameworks, and leads innovation in curriculum design and delivery.

This role is a regulatory requirement under the Education and Care Services National Regulations (2018) and plays a key role in achieving and sustaining high performance across all areas of the National Quality Standard.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

You are passionate about children’s learning and development. You will have:

• Minimum of 5 years experience in children’s services
• Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood) or equivalent or Diploma of Children’s Services or equivalent working towards Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood).
• Demonstrated experience supporting the development and learning of children 0-6 years old
• Understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and the National Quality Framework, Quality Improvement Plan processes and The United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child
• Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement and self-learning to achieve the best outcomes for children
• High level of verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Satisfactory National Police Clearance obtained within the last six months
• Current WA Working with Children’s Check
• Current working rights, we are unable to offer sponsorship.
