What you’ll be doing:
You’ll take ownership of financial operations and help drive smarter, more efficient ways of working:
- Manage day-to-day finances (AP/AR) with precision and care
- Oversee trust accounting in line with legal compliance requirements
- Prepare monthly financial reports (P&L, balance sheet)
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and forward planning
- Assist with tax, payroll, and regulatory compliance
- Run payroll, including split arrangements
- Deliver insights that help guide business decisions
- Optimise systems and processes (including Xero)
- Continuously improve workflows and financial controls
Who you are:
You’re more than just detail-oriented — you’re proactive, solutions-focused, and thrive in an environment where things are evolving:
- 5+ years’ experience in bookkeeping or similar
- Law firm experience (highly regarded)
- Strong Xero skills and understanding of trust accounting
- Exceptionally organised with sharp attention to detail
- Confident communicator across all levels
- A self-starter who also enjoys being part of a team
- Passionate about improving systems and processes
