Remuneration: AHP2 ($94,997 - $110,052) / AHP1 ($73,710 - $89,981) / PO2 ($94,769 - $109,787) / PO1 ($73,533 - $89,764) plus 12% superannuation

Role Details:

Multiple vacancies are available for an Allied Health Professional (AHP) or Professional Officer (PO) to join the Hindmarsh team as a Senior Social Worker, Senior Case Manager, Social Worker or Case Manager. You will facilitate dedicated care services that assess the needs of children and young people. Safeguarding the development and stability of clientele is vital to empower them to reach their full potential. This role is defined by your competency to establish collaborative partnerships and strengthen family connections to attain optimal care outcomes for vulnerable youth.

These vacancies can be filled by either a qualified Social Worker (AHP2/AHP1) or Professional Officer (PO2/PO1), depending on relevant qualifications and experience.

Essential Qualifications:

• AHP (Allied Health Professional) positions require applicants to hold a Social Work qualification and be eligible for full membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW)
• PO (Professional Officer) positions require relevant qualifications in Community Services, Social Sciences, Human Services, Health or other related fields.

Persons of Australian Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent, who have the appropriate background and skills but do not have the essential qualification, may apply for and be engaged/assigned to the role of Social Worker and will be entitled to apply for any Allied Health Professional roles requiring a qualification in Social Work within the Department for Child Protection (DCP).

As a Senior Social Worker/Senior Case Manager, you will:

• Administer complex case management that supports the safety of children and young people
• Manage investigations and assessments that reviews child protection related issues
• Utilise appropriate response measures to resolve notifications of abuse that adheres to strict departmental guidelines
• Create written and verbal intervention reports that distinctly highlight child protection frameworks.

As a Social Worker/Case Manager, you will:

• Oversee the protection of children and young people through sound case management and inclusive practice
• Conduct regular visitations to fortify the independence and emotional security of clientele
• Apply DCP’s Practice Approach to incorporate evidence-based research to reflect robust case management
• Maintain accurate information surrounding clientele using the C3MS system.

• You possess high-level cultural awareness and interpersonal skills to emotionally respond to the needs of children and young people
• You have proficient knowledge in child developmental stages and child protection frameworks
• You have exemplary written and verbal communication skills to deliver accurate and concise reports
• You are a phenomenal team collaborator who can attain goals collectively and independently
• You can work under professional direction to handle complex issues and workload obligations.

Salary:

AHP2: $94,997 - $110,052 + 12% super

AHP1: $73,710 – $89,981 p.a. + 12% super

+ 4% Child Protection Allowance

+ Professional Development Allowance

+ Qualification Allowance may apply if you hold an additional qualification relevant to the role.

PO2: $94,769 – $109.787 p.a. + 12% super

PO1: $73,533 – $89,764 p.a. + 12% super

+ Additional Child Protection Allowance.

AHP2 positions are also entitled to claim reimbursement of eligible professional development expenses through the Professional Development Allowance.
