Hunter Primary Care (HPC) is a not for profit organisation committed to improving health outcomes and reducing disadvantage across the communities we serve. We work with partner organisations to deliver accessible, high quality primary and mental health services.
In association with Grand Pacific Health (GPH), Hunter Primary Care is seeking a Clinical Practice Lead to provide vital support to individuals experiencing mental health challenges, in a brand new Medicare Mental Health service.
About the Position
This is a permanent full-time opportunity, with ADO accrual available.
This position will primarily support our Medicare Mental Health Centre located on Armidale.
This position reports to the Service Manager and offers the opportunity to:
- Lead Service Delivery: Oversee the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based mental health care.
- Provide Clinical Oversight: Support multidisciplinary teams in delivering effective assessments, therapies, and interventions.
- Manage Demand: Oversee service demand, waiting lists, and consumer support strategies.

Skills & Experience
We are looking for someone with:
- Tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Registered Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Social Work or other relevant qualifications
- Current unrestricted AHPRA registration as a registered psychologist, mental health nurse, or Occupational Therapist (accredited with OTA as meeting the Australian Competency Standards for occupational therapists in mental health) or Mental Health accreditation with the AASW as a Mental Health Social Worker.
- Demonstrated leadership and/or supervision experience of a multidisciplinary team, including the facilitation of clinical review, development of clinical pathways and oversight of clinical performance of team members.
- Demonstrated advanced level mental health clinical experience in mental health service delivery with demonstrated skills and experience in providing a range of holistic, recovery-oriented, evidence-based therapeutic services
