Hunter Primary Care (HPC) is a not for profit organisation committed to improving health outcomes and reducing disadvantage across the communities we serve. We work with partner organisations to deliver accessible, high quality primary and mental health services.
In association with Grand Pacific Health (GPH), Hunter Primary Care is seeking a Senior Mental Health Clinician to provide vital support to individuals experiencing mental health challenges, in a brand new Medicare Mental Health service.
About the role
This position is a permanent full-time opportunity; full-time positions have the option to enjoy a monthly RDO.
As a Senior Mental Health Clinician at Medicare Mental Health Centre Tamworth, you will provide advanced assessment, formulation and evidence-based therapeutic support for consumers with more complex needs within a multidisciplinary team.
Your specialist input will be integrated through one shared wellbeing and recovery plan, so consumers experience support as connected and coherent rather than fragmented.
You will build capability across the team through mentoring, clinical supervision, consultation and by supervising students on placement. This includes supporting early career clinicians to grow their practice.

Skills & Experience
We are looking for someone with:
- Tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Registered Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Social Work or other relevant qualifications
- Current AHPRA registration as a clinical psychologist, registered psychologist, mental health nurse, or occupational therapist (accredited with OTA as meeting the Australian Competency Standards for occupational therapists in mental health), or mental health accreditation with the AASW
- Demonstrated advanced level mental health clinical experience (ideally minimum three years post graduate) in mental health service delivery with demonstrated skills and experience in providing a range of holistic, evidence-based therapeutic services.
- Demonstrated leadership and/or supervision or mentoring experience of a multidisciplinary team.
