About the role

Mater Private Hospital Mackay is seeking a dedicated and experienced Clinical Nurse/Midwife to join our Womens Unit on a permanent part-time basis.

As a Clinical Nurse at Mater Private Hospital Mackay you will play a pivotal role in delivering advanced clinical care problem-solving and leadership within a specialised healthcare team.

Your responsibilities will encompass ensuring high-quality standards are met through expert planning coordination and management of specialist nursing care. Salary range: $57.48 - $61.55 per hour plus 12% superannuation andaccess to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15900access to many staff benefits!

What youll be doing

As a Clinical Nurse at Mater Private Hospital Mackay your responsibilities will include:

• Provide high-quality patient care using advanced clinical skills.
• Collaborate with patients and caregivers to identify healthcare needs.
• Adhere to documentation standards and coordinate work functions.
• Undertake discharge planning and act as a mentor when required.
• Develop and maintain rosters support policy implementation.
• Manage labour resources allocate resources within budget when required
• Analyse data promote workplace safety and customer satisfaction.
• Participate in meetings quality activities and professional development.
• Accept individual responsibility and adhere to organisational policies.

About you

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Clinical Nurse who possesses:

• Current registration with the Australian Health Regulation Agency as a Division 1 Registered Nurse.
• Minimum of three-five years full time equivalent clinical experience in area of specialty.
• Postgraduate tertiary qualifications applicable to healthcare team speciality (desired)
• Advanced clinical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong planning and coordination abilities in clinical patient care management.
• Ability to work effectively within a collegiate healthcare team structure.
• Familiarity with the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards.
