The Opportunity

Are you Security Officer who has a keen eye for the details Thiess is seeking experienced and motivated Security Officer to join our high-performing team at Lake Vermont Mine near Dysart.

As a key member of the Security team you will be responsible for ensuring our security requirements are met in addition to conducting drug and alcohol testing onsite and various other duties.

Roster: 7/7 Rotating Day/Night roster - DIDO or BIBO available Location: Lake Vermont Employment Type Permanent Full Time

As a Security Officer at Lake Vermont you will:

• Control our security requirements onsite including conducting vehicle audits.
• Monitor vehicles and equipment entering and exiting site.
• Conduct random drug and alcohol testing onsite (training provided)
• Monitor site security cameras and CCTV for potential incidents and take corrective action.
• Report fatigue management breaches to appropriate managers and our Health and Safety Training Team
• Conduct general administration for the Health Safety and Training Team as required
• Perform any assigned/ad-hoc tasks as required to support other departments onsite.

About you:

• Hold a Certificate II or III in Security Operations
• Possess intermediate MS Office Suite skills.
• Current QLD Security Guard Licence - Class 1 (Monitoring & Unarmed)
• Current QLD C Class Licence (Open)
